About me
Who I am
Javier Labrador
Senior Frontend Engineer
I'm a Frontend Engineer with 7+ years of professional experience building large-scale Angular applications for clients in financial services, public and private transport, automotive, telecommunications, and retail. I've led projects from the initial architecture phase through to production deployment, always focused on an architecture that ensures long-term product growth and maintainability.
My real contribution isn't just writing clean code — it's helping the team maintain it and keep building it in line with best practices. I introduce patterns, document decisions, and drive consistency because I've personally suffered the consequences of what happens when none of that is done. I firmly believe that architecture isn't a luxury reserved for large projects — it's what separates a product that scales from one that becomes technical debt.
Architecture first
Hexagonal, screaming, clean — we pick structure before frameworks.
Tech Lead
Code reviews, internal workshops, and living documentation.
Quality by default
Unit tests, coverage gates, and CI pipelines from day one.
Security mindset
Auth flows, XSS/CSRF, and secure-by-design thinking in every layer.
Beyond work, I hold a Master's in Cybersecurity that shapes how I think about client-side risk, authentication flows, and what "safety first" truly means in a frontend context. That perspective has led me to design more robust authentication systems, implement security policies in HTTP headers, and think about the threat model before writing the first line of code.
